Emo Night at Radness Ensues

Here at Radness Ensues, we exist for everyone in the community: the misfits, the outcasts, the misunderstood…the emo! Come out and dance with us Friday, March 7th from 5-9 pm. You can expect emo karaoke, a DJ, and snacks! Show everyone that IT’S NOT A PHASE! ($5 optional suggested donation)

Emo nights originally bcame popular in the 2010s, although emo as a genre stems from 1980s punk and post-punk. Whether you’re an original emo or an elder,  the early 2000s emo music is like A Day to Remember. While the world moved on from emo, the true emos weren’t going to let go, and we aren’t either.

One of the most famous and longest-lived emo nights is the similarly-named Emo Nite which was born in Los Angeles in 2014. They represent the strength of the entire community of alternative music lovers. As emo music fell out of mainstream favor, emo fans started to as well. Emos were bullied, ridiculed, and dismissed. Nevertheless, they stayed true to themselves and persisted. We at Radness wouldn’t have it any other way!

Emo Nite celebrates both “true” emo bands like “Blink-182, All Time Low, Dashboard Confessional, The Maine, and Good Charlotte” while also including more accessible emo-adjacent artists like Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day to Remember, and The Black Sheep.

Do these names sound interesting? We hope you come out on March 7th. We see you, we accept you, and we want to dance with you. So come on out to Radness Ensues on Emo Night and help us prove that it was never a phase! Emo for Life! $5 suggested donation, but NOTAFLOF (No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds!).
